The Coffee Shops

Some of the things that have been consistently important to finding our own favorite coffee combo has been availability, Roast, and freshness. Here's a quick run-down on our late night coffee cravings and where it all happens in Rochester.
Besides the couture standby's like spot and Java's there are a few more places around where a good cup of jo isn't just about the taste, strength or cheapness, but more about the people. Coffee can bring together drunkards and Presbyterians alike it does not discriminate and neither does this list. Here you should be able to find one or two places that will improve the way you enjoy your late night out.
First and Probably the best place to grab some Jo late at night is Denny's.
I know I know, your all about to kill me right now, but honestly for some good ol' no holds bar bunch of fun and enjoyment there is no better place than Denny's at 2:30 am after the bars close. The swaying crowd stumbles in, literally, and 4 or 5 waitresses buzz around the late night musk of a restaurant that has never been closed. It's easy to just kick back in a booth and watch the faces turn with their eye's bloodshot.
Denny's may not be the classiest place on the block, but for gold ol' relaxing time, I put it as #1.
Second on the list is probably the East Street dinner.
For an adventure into the dreariest of Rochester coffee spots it can be quite rewarding to sit in silence with other no-bodies and enjoy your own piece of route 66 style in upstate NY. Picture yourself hunched over a boring cup of black slop while everyone around you does the same and no one says a word.
For some this might be idealistic? But down on East Street it's what they got.
Lastly is the stop on the hopping corner of East and Main
Here you can get your double whipped super latte with a sleeve without worrying about your jo being to whipped or two latte. They make a great cup of coffee from everywhere and you get the usual hipsters and swingers in a joint that might be considered mostly Rochester without the snobbery of Java's and Spot's.
Hopefully this rundown of late night coffee spots and how their atmosphere contributes to a Rochestarian Good time will help you pick the cup of jo that bests suits your own mood and style. For all of you who found nothing, go to Java's and pretend you know what you're doing because those two places aren't Rochester.
